Degrado e sporcizia nell’Ospedale di Lamezia Terme

Oltre ad essere stato progressivamente privato di diversi reparti, in questi ultimi anni afferma, a nome del Meetup 5 Stelle Lamezia – Amici di Beppe Grillo, l’attivista Ferdinando Gaetano, l’ospedale Giovanni Paolo II di Lamezia Terme ha visto sensibilmente peggiorare le proprie condizioni igieniche.

Eccezion fatta per pochi reparti, come Pediatria, si nota in maniera lampante la poca manutenzione ordinaria e, soprattutto, pulizia.
Emblematiche e vergognose le foto che ci hanno mandato dei nostri simpatizzanti recatisi presso il locale nosocomio per motivi di salute o per far visita a parenti ed amici. In due delle foto allegate si nota uno dei lettini del Pronto Soccorso in parte strappato, spezzato e riattaccato alla meno peggio con del nastro adesivo, un’altra ritrae un materassino ormai logoro, pieno di piccoli strappi e macchie. Le restanti foto sono state scattate nelle scale ed all’ingresso del reparto di Urologia, e non hanno certo bisogno di tanti commenti: ringhiere e pareti con schizzi di liquido rosso (sangue?), marmi con ampie incrostazioni ed aloni, carta da parete in più parti strappata e penzolante, vistose macchie, anzi in alcuni punti delle vere e proprie chiazze, scure dovute a spargimento o caduta di liquidi di dubbia natura, portoni d’ingresso al reparto rovinati e con fili scoperti, per finire con un lavello in condizioni a dir poco disastrose.

Eppure, prosegue sempre l’esponente del meetup cittadino, stiamo parlando di un ospedale, ovvero del luogo nel quale è richiesta la massima pulizia e salubrità, anche perché le infezioni ospedaliere, per come denunciato nel 2017 dall’Associazione dei microbiologi clinici italiani (Amcli), continuano a mietere più vittime degli incidenti stradali. Si stima, infatti,che ogni anno muoiano per questa causa circa 4 mila persone, su oltre 500 mila che contraggono infezioni nosocomiali.

Invitiamo caldamente chi di competenza ad adoperarsi per porre fine a questo degrado ed a ripristinare prontamente condizioni di salubrità ed igiene più consone ad un luogo in cui, conclude Gaetano, spesso la linea di confine tra riuscire a salvare, o meno, una vita umana, è davvero esile.
