E’ morto Darren Kent, attore di ‘Il trono di spade’ aveva 36 anni

L’attore britannico Darren Kent, che è apparso in episodi delle serie tv “Il trono di spade”, “I miserabili” e “Green Fingers”, è morto a Londra all’età 36 anni dopo una lunga battaglia contro l’osteoporosi, l’artrite e una rarissima malattia della pelle.

L’agenzia di Kent, Carey Dodd Associates, ha annunciato la scomparsa sui social. “È con profonda tristezza che dobbiamo comunicarvi che il nostro caro amico e cliente Darren Kent si è spento pacificamente venerdì”, ha dichiarato l’agenzia. “I suoi genitori e il suo migliore amico erano al suo fianco. I nostri pensieri e il nostro amore sono con la sua famiglia in questo momento difficile”.

Nato nell’Essex il 30 marzo 1987, Kent ha iniziato a recitare negli anni 2000. In “Game of Thrones – Il trono di spade”, Kent ha interpretato un pastore in una breve ma memorabile scena del finale della quarta stagione nel 2014. Nell’episodio “I bambini”, il personaggio di Kent si presenta al cospetto di Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) con il corpo carbonizzato della figlia di tre anni morta per mostrarle la distruzione causata dai suoi draghi. Dopo l’incontro, la regina incatena due dei suoi draghi in modo che non causino ulteriori danni.

Darren Kent ha avuto anche ruoli televisivi nella soap “EastEnders”, nella miniserie “I miserabili” della Bbc e nella recente fiction “Malpractice”, oltre a una breve apparizione nel film “Dungeons And Dragons: Honour Among Thieves”, uscito all’inizio di quest’anno. Kent è apparso in altri film come “Mirrors” (2008), “Snow White and the Huntsman” (2012), “My Feral Heart” (2016), “The Little Stranger” (2018), “Jeepers Creepers: Reborn” (2022) e “Love Without Walls” (2023).

Kent ha vinto il premio come miglior attore ai Van d’Or Independent Film Awards 2012 per il suo ruolo in “Sunny Boy” (2011). Nel film interpreta un ragazzo con una rara malattia della pelle che gli impedisce di stare al sole e blocca il suo desiderio di essere un normale adolescente. Ha anche scritto e diretto diversi film, tra cui il dramma criminale del 2015 “Abusing Protocol”.
